The Supreme Court justices who voted to destroy the security of property rights aren't the only Americans who have lost their minds: What about the huge number of of Americans in a Kaiser Family Foundation study who said they think Medicare is more important than national defense? You can't make this stuff up: 83% called Medicare "very important", but only 57% said the same about defense and military spending. Are they completely mad?

Medicare costs are a huge part of state budgets, contributing to the shutdown of the Minnesota state government this weekend. Iowa's budget is just as screwed up. With their government on forced vacation, does that mean it's an opportune time for Iowa to invade Minnesota?
