Do Something to Thank Active-Duty Servicemembers

While much attention deservedly goes to the more than 100,000 active-duty servicemembers serving the United States in the Gulf today, Americans are in active-duty service around the world in dozens of countries. Here are a few ways to help them out and express your thanks, no matter where they are:

Care Packages
Visit one of the following links to send a care package to Americans serving abroad:

• Operation USO Care Package (contribute $25 to send a care package online)
• Iowa National Guard (lists requested items from Iowa Guard members and where to send them by unit)
• Care 4 Troops (allows you to purchase and send a care package online)
• USO of Metro DC (accepts donations by mail for care packages and lists some "most wanted" items for your own packages)
• Official DoD List of Ways to Help
