A lawsuit over patented technology could shut down the BlackBerry wireless PDA service for three million users -- and about 10% of the users work for the federal or state governments. This could be pretty challenging for the people who rely on BlackBerry for instant messaging and wireless e-mail access. Interestingly, the deaf and hard of hearing are heavy users of BlackBerry technology.
